Awards & Publications

Innovest’s client, Colorado State University, was honored with the prestigious Eddy Award from Pensions & Investments for their participant communication program supporting retirement plan consolidation. We are humbled to receive this award alongside our client! Additionally, Innovest was recognized as a finalist for the 2024 Small Business of the Year award by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. This acknowledgment highlights Innovest's role as a small business in the community.

Throughout this quarter, several publications have featured the insights and perspectives of Innovest professionals. Vice President, Paul D'Alessandro, authored three articles published in NonProfit PRO: "The Impact of the Nonprofit Donor Revolt," "A Call to Action: The Power of Thoughtful Nonprofits and Citizens," and "The Dilemma of Fundraisers Consulting as a Side Hustle." Additionally, Advisor Perspectives published Principal Rick Rodgers, AIFA®, and Vice President Frank Cornett, CFP®’s article, “Acquisitions and Consolidations in Consulting Create Landmines." Finally, Innovest Manager, Peter Girard’s article, “Quantitative Issues,” was published in Advisor Perspectives.

Service

At the heart of Innovest's values is our culture of stewardship and commitment to service within our workplace and in the community. Throughout each quarter, we honor employees who demonstrate a dedication to service through the Service to Others award. In January, we recognized Christine Attai as the recipient of the Service to Others award, followed by Taylor Smith in February, and Joe Lemming in March for their remarkable commitment to serving others.

Innovest's spirit of giving extends beyond our office walls, and we actively volunteer in the community each month. Our employees conducted mock interviews at Arrupe Jesuit High School to assist seniors in preparing for scholarship and job interviews. Arrupe holds a special place in Innovest's heart as we actively participate in their Corporate Work Study Program, hosting four student interns throughout the school year as employees to support their education costs. Additionally, our employees volunteered at the Food Bank of the Rockies, aiding in sorting, and distributing food to families in need across our community.

Conferences, Speaking, Events, & Sponsorships

Innovest co-sponsored the 24th Annual Rocky Mountain Nonprofit Conference in March with Kundinger, Corder & Montoya, P.C. and AmPhil in Denver, CO. This conference brought together a differentiated array of speakers and participants who enriched the event with a broad range of insight and expertise. This gathering, held to foster collaboration and innovation in the local nonprofit sector, proved to be a pivotal occasion for sharing knowledge and best practices. Innovest Principle, Steven Fraley, provided an economic update & outlook tailored for nonprofits.

In February, Innovest Principal, Rick Rodgers, AIFA®, participated in a panel discussion at the Southeast Retirement Plan Advisor Summit. His wealth of experience and knowledge added depth to the conversation[SD1] .

In addition, at the Amphil Sales Conference, Innovest Principal, Sarah Newman, delivered a presentation on "Best Practices for Conference Networking." In addition, Principal, Sloan Smith CAIA, MBA, CPWA® presented "The Spectrum of Values Alignment" at the Christian Leadership Alliance Conference.

Innovest celebrates our team's growth, community recognition, and ongoing commitment to excellence as we look forward to the future.
