Christian O’Dwyer, CFA
Principal
Christian is a Principal and Consultant at Innovest specializing in investment strategy and financial planning for families, nonprofit operating pools, endowments, foundations, and associations. He is passionate about learning what is most important to his clients and helping them find solutions and strategies to reach their goals. He also works with families on next-generation planning, and financial education and literacy for future leaders.
Christian is a Principal at the firm and serves as a member of the Investment Committee and Capital Markets Research Group, bringing experience in traditional equity, fixed income, and alternative investments.
Christian returned to Innovest after previously serving the firm for a five-year tenure, which was followed by time at UBS Financial Services and BOK Financial. At both firms, he continued his work as a private wealth advisor. He started his financial services career as an equity derivatives trader at Spot Trading LLC in Chicago, IL. While at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, he developed skills in managing risk resulting from changing market conditions and has comprehensive experience in equity derivative products.
Christian holds a Finance Degree from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, and is a CFA charter holder. A Denver native, he remains active in the community by supporting many charitable organizations. Christian serves as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees at Regis Jesuit High School, School and is an emeritus board member at Boys Hope Girls Hope Colorado. He also serves on the Finance Committee for his church and children’s school – Blessed Sacrament.
Christian has been married for more than 10 years and he and his wife, Lilla, have three children. They are active in their local community and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Denver. As a family, they enjoy playing baseball, skiing, bike riding, attending concerts, golfing, and cooking together.
