Employee Spotlight: Kristin Lee

Where is your hometown?

I was born just outside of Chicago, I but grew up in the Denver metro area.

Tell us something unique about you.

I’ve had my hair many different colors over the years, but dark brown seems to have stuck

What do you like best about working at Innovest?

I have a great team of people I work with and I get to help people prepare for retirement. What more could you ask for?

How do you give back to the community?

I am obsessively empathetic to animals and have recently started getting involved at a farm sanctuary. Additionally, my brother has special needs and I have worked with several organizations in support of him and others like him over the years. I also care deeply about the environment and I am very active in reducing my personal environmental impact as well as supporting businesses and organizations with this same mission.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I’m a diehard Denver Nuggets fan and you’ll catch me at every home game. I also love going to movies and attend the Telluride Film Festival every year. Other hobbies include backpacking/camping, skiing, and chasing my pug around.

Tell us about your family.

I’m the oldest of three and have a younger sister and brother. My parents, sister and brother all still live local to Denver. I recently got engaged to my longtime partner, Nate, and we share a three-year-old pug together, Hamilton. He is the love of our lives.

What is your favorite dessert?

A strong drink or a good vegan ice cream.
