  • Innovest welcomed Brian Curran as an Analyst and member of the portfolio accounting and retirement plan teams. Brian holds a master’s degree from the University of Kansas and bachelor’s degree from Benedictine College, where he was President of the student body.

  • As part of the Corporate Work Study Program, our four Arrupe Jesuit High School interns have joined us for the 2021-2022 school year! We are excited to welcome Camilla (senior), Jose (junior), Steven (sophomore), and David (freshman).

  • Senior Analyst Kristin Lee got engaged to her long-time sweetheart, Nate, on a beautiful summer day in Telluride, Colorado. Senior Analyst Brett Minnick got engaged, as well, to his girlfriend, Madison, on a gorgeous evening in Scottsdale, Arizona.

  • Help us congratulate Vice President Michael Corbett on passing the CFA Level III exam, one of the key requirements toward earning the highest distinction in the investment management profession.

  • The recipients of the Service to Others monthly awards were Kathy Lalone in July, Joanne Cinalli in August, and Jean-Marie Willis in September.

  • Many from our team volunteered with Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., participating in their Paint-A-Thon! Brothers Redevelopment is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that provides housing and a variety of housing-related services for the region’s low-income, elderly, and disabled residents.

  • Innovest employees volunteered at the Denver Rescue Mission, serving breakfast. The Denver Rescue Mission helps provide refuge and relief for neighbors devastated by homelessness.

  • Innovest hosted the Colorado Public Plans Coalition conference in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

  • Vice President Paul Nacario played in the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Conference Golf Tournament.

  • Sloan Smith, Principal and Director, spoke on the keys to a Catholic portfolio at the 2021 International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC) in Orlando, Florida.

  • Innovest joined Charles Schwab & Co., Inc for an interesting webinar on cybersecurity. Participants learned how they can better protect themselves and their devices from potential cyber threats and breaches.

  • Sloan Smith joined Thomas Danis, Managing Partner & Co-Founder of RCP Advisors LLC for a webinar titled, “Private Equity in the Lower Middle Market.” Sloan and Mr. Danis discussed the opportunities in the area of private equity and the landscape going forward.

  • Innovest was part of the virtual 2021 National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) Annual Conference. Innovest Principal Jared Martin spoke as a member of a panel of experts on “DB Pensions and DC Plans – Working in Tandem to Achieve Financial Security.”

  • Paul Nacario spoke at the 9th Annual CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) Continuing Education Event — Virtual Series. Paul’s featured panel was “10 Minutes on Litigation and Revenue Sharing.”

  • Innovest co-hosted the Southwest Nonprofit Conference with Edie Bailly and Snell & Wilmer on September 30, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference offered a complimentary morning of education and networking. Vice President Steven Fraley spoke on mission-aligned investing.
