Employee Spotlight: Get to Know Paul Nacario

Where is your hometown? 

San Francisco, right in the heart of the city.

Tell us something unique about you?

I graduated from a Jesuit high school in San Francisco and a Jesuit college, the University of San Francisco.

What do you like best about working at Innovest? 

The people, we have great people here. Having spent the majority of my career on the retirement plan provider side, I’ve worked for some very large companies and it’s difficult to have 10,000 great people. Here, we have 50 plus great people.

How do you give back to the Community?

I am a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Notre Dame Prep Father’s Club. Both organizations focus on charitable, community service.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Outside of work and family, I’m pretty boring. I have played golf since 1986 and play in the main events at my club. I try to get 1 hour of cardio exercise in daily but two years ago, I started to practice yoga and am hooked, I practice hot yoga almost every day unless I’m traveling.  

Tell us about your family?

I have been married to my wife Kathy, a Montessori teacher, for almost 22 years. She moved to AZ in 1991 from Indianapolis and we have a 16-year-old son, Brandon, who is a junior at Notre Dame Prep. Our two dogs, Cedrick and Nina round out our family. Like many at Innovest, Brandon plays competitive basketball, so we spend tons of time in gyms between high school basketball and AAU travel ball.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Pistachio.
