Innovest Chief Operating Officer Peter Mustian is a finalist for Denver Business Journal’s C-Suite Awards.  Well deserved!

Congratulations to Jordan Rice for being promoted to Manager.  Jordan is on the Retirement Plan Team and helps our clients with the recordkeeping Requests for Proposals.

Innovest welcomed two new employees this month:  Peter Girard and Kendra Jensen.  Peter served as an Innovest intern last summer and recently graduated from Benedictine College with a degree in finance.  Kendra has a degree in finance from Winona State University and joins us after serving as a missionary for Christ in the City.

We’re excited to have our Arrupe Jesuit High School interns back, along with a new college intern, Matthew Foster, who is currently working on a business degree at Regis University.

CEO Rich Todd was interviewed by the Colorado Economic Club about his background, Innovest’s culture and business leaders he admires. It was a great conversation.

Rich was also part of the Public Opal Conference panel on fiduciary responsibility. 

PLANSPONSOR, a well-known retirement plan publication, circulated an article about the Request for Proposal process featuring commentary from Innovest Manager, Jordan Rice and President, Wendy Dominguez. 

Richard Todd recently penned a White Paper titled Process Over Prediction.  It shares best practices for investment management and studies that show the benefits of rebalancing.

 Innovest Vice President Steven Fraley's thoughts about high yield spreads were featured in Citywire Professional Buyer's July 2020 magazine article titled "Risky Heights."

“The Impact of Rebalancing on Risk, Returns, and Recovery,” an article written by Innovest Vice President, Mike Corbett, was published last month on Advisor Perspectives website.

The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc. (NAGDCA) included Troy Jensen's article, "Considerations for Employer Retirement Plan Contributions during Coronavirus," in their Summer 2020 Newsletter.

Articulator magazine printed Principal Steve Karsh’s article titled Low Interest Rates: The New Challenge for the 60/40 Portfolio in their latest installment.

Innovest hosted a webinar with celebrated author and friend of the firm, Heather Younger. The webinar - Building Resilience:  How to Unleash Your Mindset Even During a Pandemic – gave registrants helpful tips for thriving in uncertain times.

Hedge Funds were the topic of Innovest’s Quarterly Interview series with Ironwood Managing Partner, Ben Zack on July 15th.  Key takeaways from the webinar are included as an article in this edition of InnoViews.

Babies, Weddings and more

Analyst Assistant, John Brock, was married in a small ceremony this September.  His wife, Elise, is a kindergarten teacher.

Vice President Marianne Marvez and Lori Foster, Administrative Assistant, both recently welcomed granddaughters. 

In the Community

The Innovest team donated fresh produce (some from their own gardens) to the Littleton Life Center in September.  The haul included mangos, pineapple, corn, zucchini, peppers and lots of berries.

In addition, Innovest sponsored the ACE Scholarship Luncheon, the Girls Inc. annual fundraiser and the Diocesan Fiscal Management Conference.
