Companies Invest in Social Values as Corporate Giving Climbs 11%
“Corporate giving and social investment climbed more than 10% in recent years, according to a new report that suggests America's largest companies are increasingly adopting societal improvement campaigns and funneling more money into social engagement efforts.
The annual Giving in Numbers study, which is compiled by the Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose coalition and tracks the philanthropic and social engagement behavior of more than 200 multibillion-dollar companies, estimates contributions totaled roughly $26 billion last year. Median total giving climbed 11% between 2016 and 2018, with health care leading all industries with aggregate contributions of nearly $4 billion.” Click here to continue reading
