Additional Retirement Plan Relief for Hurricane Victims

The House and Senate passed H.R. 3823, the Disaster Tax Relief and Airport and Airway Extension Act of 2017, on September 28 to provide additional disaster relief for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.  The bill would provide relief in areas such a early distributions and loans. The relief would be in addition to that already provided by Treasury/IRS, the Department of Labor (“DOL”), and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.  Read a full description of the relief provided in the bill here.
