Cheryl Wilks, CPFA™

Manager

Cheryl is a member of the Retirement Plan Practice Group, a specialized team that identifies best practices and implements process improvements to maximize efficiency for our retirement plan clients. Her responsibilities also include assisting in Innovest’s retirement plan efforts including Request for Proposals, retirement plan administration, participant education, and evaluating and benchmarking plans.

Cheryl has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services Industry. She was Vice President and Managing Director for Boettcher & Company in Denver, where she oversaw an equity and options analysis discretionary portfolio program for clients. She went on to join Kemper Securities Group in Chicago as Vice President, where she managed the National Options Trading Desk. After returning to Denver, she joined Charles Schwab & Company in their Active Trader Division as a Manager, overseeing a brokerage team servicing retirement accounts and high net-worth individuals. She spent several years with Nuveen in a marketing role and served as Vice President and Executive Director of a local foundation assisting Colorado high school graduates with obtaining funds for college.

Cheryl studied Business Administration at the University of Colorado in Boulder, with an emphasis in Finance. She holds the Series 65 License (Registered Investment Advisor Representative) through FINRA. Cheryl also earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA™) designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).

Cheryl has a son who is a financial consultant with JPMorgan in Manhattan Beach, California. Her family enjoys spending time together when they all meet in Dana Point, California. She is an avid skier and a huge Bronco fan. In addition, Cheryl loves to spend time hiking with her dog. When she has spare time, she is involved in video production and graphic design for various youth sports organizations and special event celebrations.
